About

lindsay-morphy-barristerAfter obtaining my Bachelor of Arts in English (2000) from the University of Calgary, I graduated with my LLB from the University of Alberta in 2003.  After articling at a national firm in Calgary from 2003-2004, I moved to Vancouver where I practiced in civil litigation, gaining valuable and significant experience in both the private and public sectors over the next 10 years.  I have appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia as well as the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal.

In 2016, I decided to follow my dreams and start my own practice in my preferred area of fertility law.  Since then, I have helped grow over 300 families.  Often I get to meet these babies after they are born which always leaves me feeling extremely honoured and happy to have been part of such an incredible journey!

I have guest lectured at the Peter Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia on the topic of fertility law, and, together with other legal experts, medical professionals, and other stakeholders, am currently a committee member of the BC Law Institute’s Review of the Law of Parentage of the Family Law Act, which has a goal of legislative reform regarding parentage through assisted reproduction.  I am also a member of the Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society.
